Ford knows that historically black colleges and universities are steeped in tradition and have a commitment to enriching the mind, body and spirit of their African American students. Over the past four years, Ford Motor Company has supported these efforts through the Ford HBCU Community Challenge and the Ford Fund -- the company's philanthropic arm.

Teams of students from HBCUs around the country are assigned the task of designing a project that addresses critical local community needs. Teams then unite with a local non-profit partner to develop a proposal to further their initiatives.

The top three teams present the ideas to a panel of Ford executives in Dearborn, MI, with the winning team taking home $75,000 in scholarships and the other two receiving funds to implement their programs. The Ford executives also serve as mentors to the teams.

At Fox Ford, we're proud to be affiliated with a company that cares, and our showroom at 3560 28th Street SE in Grand Rapids proudly serves drivers from the Grand Rapids, Kentwood, Caledonia, Grandville, Lowell and Holland, MI areas.
