It was clear that the Ford Super Duty was the winner quite early in the process of Motor Trend choosing the 2017 Truck of the Year, so they spent time testing, analyzing, scrutinizing and picking the truck apart in order to make sure they’d made the right decision. They did.

The Super Duty’s design drew particular praise for offering a unique, identifiable truck that still emphasized the true, workmanlike capabilities the customer requires. Featuring class-leading 7,630-pound maximum payload capacity, 32,500-pound towing capacity and up to 925 pound-feet of torque, the Super Duty is built to get the job done, day after day.

Ford also delivered on the safety front, with available features like collision warning, forward- and rear-looking cameras, the ability to monitor tire pressures and trailer lights on the dashboard, automatic emergency braking, blind spot detection and trailer sway control.
