We wouldn't necessarily say that the cliché "bigger is better" are words to live by. However, for the Ford brand, its bigger SUV does mean better safety than most large crossovers on the market. More specifically, we're talking about the 2016 Ford Explorer and its five-star safety rating.
This three-row crossover SUV boasts an exemplary safety record for both general driving and parental purposes. Explorer drivers will benefit from the 2016 model's standard rearview camera, step-up rear parking sensors and trim-topping driver assistance features like adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist. Ford MyKey® technology also comes standard, which gives parents control over the vehicle's speed limit and radio volume for teenager drivers. Ford's Curve Control, which helps drivers maintain a safe speed while rounding corners, is also standard.
But there's more to the latest Explorer than just functionality. Check out all the fun, too, in the AutoTrader.com video review below, and then experience it for yourself when you pick your favorite Explorer model out of our new Ford inventory, here at Fox Ford in Grand Rapids, MI.
